I'm a blue monster. Mah favorite color is blue. It has been so since… well, since the beginning, I guess. In a pile of documents that include little league photos and weird certificates of advancement that my Mom kept from my childhood there is a collage I made in kindergarten. I actually have memories of making it. I remember slaving away on it under the watchful eye of Miss Minor. Our instructions were to make a collage of things that were our favorite color. Armed with craft paper and that minty smelling glue I set to work. Mine has some blue yarn. A blue button or two. A blue Uno card. And an awesome sketch of a giant blue whale. Frickin’ sweet blue action.
27 years later my closet looks pretty much the same. The Nurse is always giving me grief cause my dress shirts are either white or a varying shade of blue. It is really hard to get away from. It’s not even a premeditated decision. When I set out to buy a shirt I never intend for it to be blue. It just always seems to end up that I come home with a blue shirt in my hand. I’ve started to feel a little self conscious about it.
But after very extensive search, I feel it enlightening to reveal the correct meaning of blue, and defend my color selection. I can only assume the single website I visited (Emily Gems crystal-cure.com) is both fair and balanced.

See! Blue is pretty straight-up!!!
However, in the spirit of full disclosure, I suppose I should share some other Gem Master Blue thoughts...
However not all blues are serene and sedate.
Electric or brilliant blues become dynamic and dramatic, an engaging color that expresses exhilaration.
Some shades or the overuse of blue may come across as cold or uncaring. Blue is the least "gender specific" color, having equal appeal to both men and women.
Blue also connotes feeling alone and sad and represents 'bruised and broken'
Pfffft... What does Emily Gem know? Who made her the color expert, anyway? Who even wants to be warm and caring!? Color of sadness and alone?? She obviously hasn't heard of my Days of Life festival coming up on
