So, I have had a wicked case of blog-stalking the last few days. It’s been… I don’t know, weird?
I should be more specific, I have been Mormon blog-stalking. Can you believe how “blessed” everyone is? It’s crazy! It’s a whole blogging community of incredibly blessed and blissful people where nary a thing goes awry. It’s seriously like we’re all in Katie’s world—where everyone is a pony and they all eat rainbows and poop butterflies! It’s weird people!
I seriously had to pull up a youtube video of baby seals being clubbed to death just to feel normal again.
It would be so refreshing to read a blog “About me” profile that said something like:
Ken Doll and I met at BYU. I didn’t really like him and was horrified when he proposed. I said yes only out of fear; my prospects were few and I was totally worried that I would become an old maid (and we all know about ‘those girls’). We got married in the (fill-in-the-blank) temple. We have (choose at least one but no greater than four) children. I now spend most of my life fixing meals, cleaning up the dishes, cleaning up after the kids, doing the laundry and trying to keep pee off of the toilets. I do a little crafting and blogging on the side ;) By the end of the day I am totally trashed… at which point I have to begin thwarting the incessant sexual advances of Ken Doll. Somehow, we’re keeping it all together. We are so blessed and just so happy with life.
But then again, would I be so comically entertained if everybody didn’t put their best foot forward and show how perfect their world is and how blessed and saintly they are on their blogs?
