Maybe Cowboys DO Cry?!

Does anyone else have this problem? Lately, I seem to get psychotically emotional when I hear pretty much any country song about a dad and his daughter/family. Anyone? Any males between the ages of 28 and 35 with children have this problem? You may qualify to participate in a free clinical study. Participants may be compensated for participation.

Seriously though. I am sick of it! This is not normal. Fits of crying and hysterics. I don't do that! I never have. I am not okay with this. Curse these country singers and their emotionally charged lyrics!

Some of the culprits:

Trace Adkins - "You're Gonna Miss This"

Kenny Chesney - "The Good Stuff"

Darius Rucker - "It Won't Be Like This For Long"

Kenny Chesney - "There Goes My Life" (every freakin' time I hear it!)

  1. Ya know, Jesse...I'm not a male between the ages of 28 and 35, nor do I have any kids, but songs, particularly about family, do tend to get me choked up...if that makes you feel any better...which it probably doesn't.
PS - Visyntes was my word....I have no sentence to put it into.

  2. Well... you don't really fit our demographic? At all. So... this is awkward... but, you probably will not be compensated for your involvement.

"Visyntes"- When Bruno sat down on the visyntes in Karen's living room everyone just rolled their eyes. The nerve!

  4. I'll be honest some country songs do get me choked up even though I'm not male and don't have kids. That is why country is the BEST though. As I was reading the first paragraph I had Darius Rucker's lyrics going through my head. I love that song! In fact Jesse and I watched the music video last night which had his daughter in it and it was adorable. I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets choked up. Tell the nurse and children we say hi and that we miss you guys!

  5. You are pretty much a big sissy. Oh alright they get me. I also had a hard time watching Taken. I had to pause it half way through and go check on Jo! Where is my medication?

  9. I am a pansy, Amanda. That is the problem! And the country music thing... well, let's just say that it did not happen until I moved to Santaquin and bought a truck. I don't know how anybody could live here and drive a truck and not get a little red on their neck! ;)
